  • Own an iPhone 4? You just won a settlement you didn’t even know you were part of!
How? It’s simple. When the iPhone 4 came out in 2010, it was designed so beautifully that Apple thought they would save hardware space by creating an antenna that also acts as the outer metal border of your phone. What Jobs and the rest of the Apple crew didn’t know was that it would lead to a dropping-bars antenna issue dubbed “antennagate.”Now, don’t get too excited. As you should be aware of, the lawyers get most of the money from these things, however you did win something—small, but something. Once the site  http://iphone4Settlement.com goes live, apparently you will have the option to pick either a bumper case (which is meant to stop the antenna problem and was issued for free by Apple when the issues attracted attention in 2010) or $15.
Personally having owned a bumper case, I would go with the cash. The bumper case has been known to stop the antenna issues and keep your iPhone bulky case-free but it will start scratching and discoloring the side of the iPhone. Trust me.I also own an iPhone 4 but it seems I will not be eligible for the settlement if reports from Mashable are true. They mention that people who took advantage of the bumper case giveaway by Apple in 2010 may have void the chance of getting a new one or the cash.
Well, I guess there’s nothing else I can do but if you didn’t take advantage before, better do it now!

  • Unless you live under a rock, you should probably already know that the new iPhone 4 was announced at WWDC10. The new slick design was one of the biggest features, moving away from the iPhone’s usual rounded design.
As soon as it is available on June 24th, it will contain one of the biggest updates Apple has made—which was announced a couple of months ago—and will contain new features like Multitasking (not for iPod Touch 2G though!) and Folders, along with 100 other features. You can see or read about all the new features on the Apple website.
It is bound to change the market. Again.
I can’t wait for release because I’m really planning on getting this one as soon as I can get my hands on it, one way or another, iPhone 4, you will be mine.

  • Today was a hellish day. The fact that I live in Texas where 105 degrees fahrenheit is a common temperature daily is not the reason for this. It is because I had to regretfully send my iPhone away for minor repairs all the way to Cupertino, or wherever they repair iPhones in California.
I’ve had my iPhone 4 for almost a year now. Actually, I believe 10 days from now a year ago is when I obtained my iPhone. Such happy moments they were back then.
Anyways, I was having hardware troubles. Specifically, I was having Home Button troubles. Ever since I got my iPhone I always suspected something odd about the strange clicking sound it made when I pressed it. It got a little worse over time as I found myself pressing very hard to make Multi-Task open; sometimes it wouldn’t even work at all.
Having very few days left on the warranty, and having not purchased an Apple Care plan for 2 years (which I’m going to purchase this week) I was forced to contact Apple and arrange a repair. But I doubt it will get repaired. What’s most likely to happen is I get sent a new iPhone. Which is fine by me. So by all means, Apple; go for it.
Just a few hours in since the delivery, I thought I’d be fine. Sure, why not? I’ve only had my iPhone the whole freakin’ year. Having only been away form it for mere hours at a time. I don’t remember how it feels not to have an iPhone and I learned that today.
I was at the grocery store and I had this urge to Tweet. Obviously what I would do is reach into my pocket and get my iPhone out. I felt my body bolt when I realized I didn’t have my phone on me. I shook it off and got over it. Tweeting is one of the things I used my iPhone for the most, but Twitter could wait.
Another big usage I have for my iPhone is for photos. I love taking out my iPhone, pointing at the object of attention and snapping. Today there was a beautiful moon in the sky just before sunset. I knew my iPhone couldn’t take pictures of the moon in the dark, but I wondered if it could during the day; it was a big-looking moon too. But alas, my iPhone wasn’t there.
This is just the first few hours. I don’t know but I’ll confess I’m pretty sure the week is going to become even more hellish from now on.
P.S. I may make a daily blog to document the instances when I needed my iPhone and it wasn’t there. I want to see how much I really can’t live without my iPhone.

  • iPhone 4

A few months ago I posted a blog post about the newest iPhone 4 by Apple and how much I wanted it. And two days ago I got it.

My newest iPhone, the first one I’ve had since I had been stuck with my carrier for years, is amazing. I’ve spent the last 2 days syncing, organizing, customizing, and it still doesn’t feel like I’m finished.

This changes everything for me, to have access to my second home—the internet—practically everywhere gives me a sensation of extreme excitement.

Just thought this was blog-worthy so I had to post. Sorry I haven’t been posting as often, I have very few days left of Summer and I’m making the  most of it. Also, I said I would continue my Socicons, but haven’t had time recently, but I’ll get to that whenever I can. :)
